Consumer safety regulators join forces
The European Commission’s Health and Consumers Directorate General, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), and Health Canada, have issued a call for better standards on window blind cords.
Towards clearer and more consistent food labelling rules in Europe
The European Parliament voted in favour of improved food labelling rules on 16 June 2010. However, the idea of introducing a ‘traffic light’ system to highlight the salt, sugar and fat content of processed foods was refused.
